When faced with the prospect of having to power up and switch 32 displays between 8 Sky sources, the owner of the Moretown Belle Sports Bar turned to CYP to help create a simple yet effective AV distribution system that allowed total control from a central location. Crucially, he needed his staff to be able to use it on a daily basis, whilst he also wanted his customers to enjoy the very best sports channels from around the world in glorious 4K UHD video quality.
After looking at the designs, we suggested that AV over IP was the obvious technology to use. Our IP-7000TX/RX transmitters and receivers offered the required quality, whilst the IP-CS7 controller made set-up extremely straight forward and offered drag-and-drop control.
Key to the installation was flexibility, which is exactly what the system delivers. Once the IP-7000TX/RX transmitters and receivers are connected to the network, the IP-CS7 finds them automatically and allows the installer to select which source went to which display, all at native screen quality. This makes adding additional displays and sources simple and far more flexible than a more conventional matrix. In addition, the signal lengths can reach up to 200 metres (100m either side of the network switch), whilst the system also supports Matrix mode (multi-source to multi-displays) and video-wall mode, perfectly matching the customers requirements.
Drag & Drop Control
What makes the IP-CS7 such an intuitive control device? Simply put – drag-and-drop control. The user can preview what is playing from any source and then ‘drag’ it to any of the connected displays. This offers even greater flexibility, particularly as the user can view what is being outputted in real-time. In addition, the user also has the ability to switch pre-configured groups of sources or displays, making switching seamless even during busy working hours.
IP-7000TX/RX and IP-CS7 features at a glance:
- 4K@60 4:2:0 Over IP with 1 frame latency only
- Matrix & Video Wall Mode
- KVM support
- PoE & Mains Powered
- Simple drag and drop control of input sources with visual preview
