AU-D3-192 – Digital Audio Converter

​​The AU-D3-192 – Digital Audio Converter converts either Coaxial or Optical signals from a digital stereo signal to analogue stereo audio. With an advanced 192kHz sampling rate, this unit is particularly useful for enhancing sound reproduction when connecting digital sources to analogue amplifiers.

AU-D3-192 FAQ

Will this help me connect my new TV that does not have headphone or Line output to my Analogue Amplifier

Yes! , if you have a treasured amplifier, AV receiver or sound system you don't wish to change , this will allow you to connect your new TV which is likely to have a digital Optical or Coaxial output.

Does this support Dolby ?

The AU-D3-192 does not support Dolby as it's output (and the device you will connect it to) are stereo format, if the content you are watching has Dolby format then it's advised to set your Display to audio settings to "stereo" or "pcm" mode which means the signal will be compatible. In the rare circumstance this is not available , we recommend checking out or Dolby Downmixer product AU-1H1DD-4K22

Will there be a loss in audio quality?

The components in the AU-D3-192 are  high quality and in the majority of cases will be superior than those built into a typical TV  with left and right outputs  .This has been one of our top selling products since we released the first version over a decade ago and we are proud to say we have only ever received positive feedback about its sound quality!
