PU-101PL-KIT – HDBaseT1 Lite HDMI Extender Set with PoC, 2-way IR and RS232

​The HDBaseT PU-101PL-Kit, HDMI Extender with bi-directional IR, RS-232 & PoC Transmitter and Receiver Kit can make your home or office set-up more efficient and easy to use. HDBaseT transmits uncompressed video and audio up to 70 metres at 1080p or 40 metres at 4K. with the PoC function and added benefit of controls through the built-in RS-232 and IR ports. The PU-101PL-KIT HDMI Extender is designed with HDBaseT Lite technology allows a full usage of HDMI and controls over CAT5e/6

PU-101PL-KIT FAQ

This product uses HDBaseT technology, what is that?

Rather than just copy & pasting the official HDBaseT description in here, we thought we'd try to explain it in non-technical terms. Because if you are asking, its likely a whole bunch of technical jargon is not really helping you understand, so here goes....

HDBaseT is a method of extending a HDMI signal (or other AV signal) beyond the recommended distance it can travel down a normal HDMI cable. This is done by converting the signal into a more robust data type by using a hardware encoding transmitter and then sending it across standard CAT cables. This is then collected at the other end of the CAT cable by a hardware decoding receiver which converts it back to the original signal type, in this case HDMI.

HDBaseT can transmit between 40m to 100m as standard and there are different versions of it that enable you to also transfer other data like Infra Red, RS-232, Ethernet, USB etc.

What other signal types does the PU-101PL-KIT extend?

The PU-101PL-KIT also sends two way Infra Red and RS-232 signal as well as the AV HDMI signal.

What distances and resolutions of HDMI can the PU-101PL-KIT do?

The PU-101PL-KIT can send a HDMI signal up to 40m across a CAT5e/6 (or above) cable. This kit supports video resolutions up to 4K and all common formats of digital sound, including surround sound.
